Paul Darrow, a speaker with the Courage apostolate, is coming to Oregon. He’ll speak and answer questions 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, April 4, at St. Anthony Church in Tigard.

Courage is a ministry accompanying those with same sex attraction who want to live chaste lives.

Darrow’s talk is called “Testimony of Truth and Love.”

Darrow is one of many who have been impacted
by Courage, which provides support and assists men and women with same-sex attractions in living chaste lives in
 fellowship, truth and love.

Darrow has shared his story
across the country, and he was recently featured in the
film “Desire of the Everlasting Hills,” which was distributed to Catholic bishops.

As the Archdiocese of Portland begins a Courage chapter, it is encouraging clergy, pastoral staffs and key volunteers to attend so that Courage might begin in their parishes. The day is open to anyone. There is no cost.

With the endorsement of the Holy See, Courage now has more than 100 chapters and contacts worldwide and hundreds of people per week receiving assistance from the main office and website.

Organizers say it has become a mainstream Catholic apostolate and focuses on fellowship, prayer and the sacraments.
