From the Archives - 1970

According to Genesis 1, God created the world, decided it was good and “evening came, and morning came.”

Human exploitation and pollution of the natural order have, in the fears of many, brought the earth to the brink of an evening followed by dawn on an uninhabitable planet. Therefore, environment is emerging as a major religious concern.

Conservation is not the only ingredient of contemporary ecology, nor are scientific solutions to technology’s havoc. Also involved are questions such as the balance in population, space and food supply.
