Raymond John Dominiak II died Oct. 24 at his home in Gresham after a 14-month battle with cancer. There was a funeral mass at St. Therese Catholic Church.
He was born Nov. 2, 1949, and grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and served three years in the Army. A Vietnam veteran, he moved to Oregon where he met Cynthia Palmblad. At the time of Mr. Dominiak’s death the two had been married 43 years. They raised two children, Raymond and Jenifer. He retired from Freightliner Corporation after 33 years, and was a proud member of the Machinists Union.
Survivors include his wife and children; sisters Beverly Dominiak Skinner and Sandra Schutte; brother Michael Dominiak; and three grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his sister, Denise Dominiak.
Interment will be at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Willamette National Cemetery.
