Edward Stanton, a member of St. Mary Cathedral Parish in Northwest Portland, died Oct. 28. He was 77.
Mr. Stanton was born Sept. 12, 1931, in Portland. He was raised and educated in Portland, graduating from Central Catholic High School. He attended Marquette University, the University of Oregon and Portland State University. He served as a Marine during the Korean War. He married Trelawney Morrison in 1958. He was owner and president of a local railroad and construction company.
He is survived by his wife Trelawney; sons Guy and Edward Stanton; daughters Deborah Wallace and Libby Hubbard; and seven grandchildren.
