Before composing this I had to pray so my words would not sound like smarmy flattery, but there is no other way to express them, such are my feelings of deep admiration, respect, and warm affection for the man.

St. Matthew indicates that a man should not marry if he is not willing to honor the prohibition against divorce.
Corinthians offers advice to virgins and widows; nothing about the priesthood.
First Timothy begins “Therefore, a bishop must be irreproachable, married only once.”

It’s been encouraging to read the letters to the Sentinel covering life issues. The letters point out the evils of abortion.
Obama professes to be a Progressive-Liberal-Secularist. This is why he maintains these pro-choice positions and states that his appointments to the Supreme Court will guarantee that Roe v. Wade will remain intact.

Catholics who vote for Barack Obama ought to go to Confession before receiving Communion again.
Unfortunately, we have many Catholics who are Democrats first and Catholics second.
In most elections, we can vote for presidents hoping they will do what we want and if they don’t, we can vote them out four years later.
