EUGENE — Here are new staff at Marist High School:

Molly Beick, math teacher, has 23 years teaching experience at both the high school and college levels. She holds a master’s in math from the University of California, Berkeley, and is an assistant volleyball coach at Marist.

Ronda Boechler, finance office assistant, has worked for a decade in Eugene public schools as food coordinator. She has a bachelor’s in finance and marketing from the University of Oregon.

Josh Byrum, dean of students, served as a counselor to juveniles at Lane County Youth Services for 16 years. He has a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Oregon.

Ryan Elliott, science teacher, is new to teaching and spent the last three years in the Springfield School District. He holds a bachelor’s from Northwest Christian University and is water polo and swim coach at Marist.

Father Theodore Lange serves as half-time chaplain and will teach one section of theology. He is also pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Veneta. Prior to these assignments, he served as formation director at Mount Angel Seminary.

Mike Stephens, landscape maintenance and custodian, has many years of experience working at a construction materials company.

Connie Tapp, alumni relations and advancement events manager, worked for 27 years in advancement at the University of Oregon and Mount Angel Abbey.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Northwest Christian University.

Nick Olszyk, a 2004 graduate, returns as a theology teacher. With a master’s in theology from Loyola Marymount University, he taught for nine years at Cornelia Connelly School in Anaheim, California.
