Sr. Florence Leone Poch
Franciscan Sister Florence Leone Poch was born Fairfax, Washington, but later moved to Tacoma where she attended St. Leo High School and was a member of Visitation Parish.

She entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia in 1948 and professed her first vows in 1950. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and social science from Marylhurst College.

During her years ministering in the Archdiocese of Portland, Sister Florence taught at St. James School in McMinnville.

Starting in 1975 she ministered as administrator of Kairos House of Prayer in Spokane, Washington, where she engaged in retreat work. Recently she moved to a retirement residence, Providence Emilie Court in Spokane, where she now serves in prayer and hospitality ministry.
