The Knights of Columbus will sponsor the Guadalupe Encounter, Saturday, Sept. 14, at The Grotto in Northeast Portland.

The event features Msgr. Eduardo Chávez, postulator for the cause for canonization of St. Juan Diego. A Marian prayer hour will be devoted to the Holy Family. Relics of the Knights of Columbus priest martyrs of Mexico will be on display.

Admission is free.

“The Guadalupe Encounter is an opportunity for the faithful of Oregon to come together and be a powerful witness to their Marian devotion and Catholic faith in their communities,” says a press release from the Knights.

Mass will start at 8 a.m. at The Grotto. The encounter will begin at 9 a.m., and seating is limited on a first-come basis. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early.
