Mater Dei Radio and the Archdiocese of Portland are broadcasting a new radio show that explores how the Gospel gets shared in today’s culture. “Blazing the Trail with Miriam Marston” airs Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.

Marston is coordinator for the Institute for Catholic Life and Leadership for the archdiocese and is entering the life of a consecrated virgin.

“This show is a response to Archbishop Alexander Sample’s call to continually strive to bring the truth and beauty of our faith to every corner of western Oregon,” she said. “I pray that these weekly conversations will encourage listeners to recognize the movement of the Holy Spirit in their own lives and feel inspired to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others.”

Mater Dei is at 88.3 FM around Portland and Salem and in Vancouver, Washington, as well as on KMME 94.9 and 100.5 FM in Eugene and Cottage Grove.

The shows follow a conversation format. Jason Kidd, director of the Office of Marriage and Family Life at the archdiocese, was an early guest.
