ST. BENEDICT — Deacon Chris Anderson has taught English at Oregon State University for 32 years and is a poet and a published author. His most recent work, published in 2016, is “Light When It Comes: Trusting Joy, Facing Darkness, and Seeing God in Everything.” His book of poetry, “You Never Know,” will be published this fall.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, Deacon Anderson will speak on “Finding God in our Flaws” at the fall 2018 Christians in the World series at the Mount Angel Abbey library. The talk is $15. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m., immediately after Mass. Opening prayers are at 9 a.m. and the day ends just before noon prayer.  Deacon Anderson also is the speaker at the Saturday, Dec. 1, talk, “Finding God in the Jumble.”
