SPRINGFIELD — In the past year, Catholic Community Services of Lane County welcomed three new members to the board of directors.

Sharon Hainley of St. Mary Parish in Eugene joined in December 2020. Retired and keeping busy with volunteer organizations, Hainley serves on the board’s development and nominating and governance committees. “I am discovering more and more the breadth of the work done by CCSLC, how ground-level it is, how it is Catholic faith and social teaching put into concrete action,” she said. “CCSLC makes a positive difference, and as Catholics, that’s what we’re called to make.”

Suzanne Graf of St. Alice in Springfield joined the board in March of 2021. Former president of Marist High School in Eugene, she currently works as development director at Serenity Lane addiction treatment centers. Graf serves on the board’s assessment and visioning committee. “I've been aware of CC’s good work in our community for many years and am humbled to be on the board,” Graf said. “I look forward to learning, serving and supporting the CCS mission to provide hope and help for my brothers and sisters in Christ.”

Pat Walsh of St. Thomas More/Newman Center in Eugene joined the board in September of 2021. He works as director of marketing and communications at Lane Transit District. Walsh serves on the board’s assessment and visioning committee. “I have always been impressed with CCS’s focus and particularly its commitment to leverage private and public dollars to the fullest extent to serve our most vulnerable neighbors,” he said.

The agency thanked the following board members who completed their terms: Roger Hite of First Baptist Church of Eugene and Tanya Torres of St. Alice Parish in Springfield.
