Charity Navigator is the largest organization providing data on 1.8 million U.S. nonprofits. Investigating financial health, accountability and transparency, it accepts no advertising or donations from the groups it ranks.

Catholic Community Services recently earned a four-star rating, the highest possible. Based in Eugene and Springfield, the agency provides food, clothing and energy assistance and seeks to empower families to take steps to move out of poverty.
