SPRINGFIELD — Through the end of the year, Catholic Community Services of Lane County is collecting warm clothing for neighbors in need.

“Cold and rain are fierce enemies for individuals and families who are without homes or who lack sufficient clothing and heat resources to remain healthy,” said a statement from the Springfield-based agency.

Especially in demand are new socks, new or good coats, scarves, gloves, sweaters, blankets, backpacks and rain gear.

Donations are accepted Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Catholic Community Services’ two locations — 1464 W. Sixth Ave. in Eugene and 1025 G St. in Springfield.
