Regarding “Islamophobia: Why it’s getting worse and the role of Catholics,” Oct. 5, Pages 14-15:

Katie Scott’s excellent article corrected some common errors. The Quran does not say what some think, but actually is a guide for good living. It shows reverence for Jesus and Mary. 

The personal stories and picture of St. Agatha School and how Christians there have learned to know and respect a Muslim family are an example of how facts can defeat lies and misunderstandings in religion, as well as in other areas.

Kudos to Scott and the Sentinel for educating us readers. Now it’s up to us to educate others.
