Parents often struggle when dealing with a child suffering a mental health disorder. Coping with kids who display anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, or attention deficit disorder may result in considerable stress and frustration. Effectively supporting these children is frequently difficult.

A workshop for such parents is set for Saturday, May 18, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at the Northwest Catholic Counseling Center, 8383 NE Sandy Blvd., Suite 205, in Portland.

Korina Jochim, a therapist for children, will speak.

Cost of the workshop is $30 and pre-registration is required. Hardship scholarships are available. Register here or call 503-253-0964.
