Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, was a Jesuit Volunteer who served in Portland during 1992 and 1993. Then a recent graduate of Georgetown University, he was posted in the emergency services office at St. Andrew Parish in Northeast Portland.

According to a 1992 Catholic Sentinel story, Hunter Biden interviewed more than 75 people per month who came in for help with food and utility bills.

After his service as a JV, he went on to Yale Law School and began a career in law and business. Recently, he has been involved in a years-long probe involving allegations of influence peddling, tax violations and drug addiction. The fact that he is the president’s son has made the investigation glaringly public.

He has not yet been charged with any crime and has denied wrongdoing.
