Providence Plan Partners (PPP) and CareOregon announced that they intend to enter into a formal partnership to strategically align operations and services to better serve the health and wellness of Oregon’s poor and vulnerable populations.

Under the proposed partnership, PPP will provide resources and support to CareOregon, which will join the Providence St. Joseph Health organization pending necessary regulatory and organizational approvals. CareOregon and its affiliates will retain their locally based, secular and non-profit status.

The two non-profit organizations have a long history of working together and with community providers and stakeholders to serve Oregonians, driving population health initiatives and delivering on the promise of Oregon’s health care transformation.

PPP and CareOregon have begun working on required approvals and developing an operational model. The organizations aim to complete their new structure as early as January 2020.
