Lisa Vance, who has been serving as chief executive for Providence in Oregon as well as president for operations and strategy for Providence’s North regions, will now transition completely into her president role. A search for an Oregon leader will begin immediately, with William Olson, chief operating officer for Providence Oregon, serving as interim chief executive during that search.

“Over the past three years I have had one of the highest privileges of my career in serving as the chief executive of Oregon,” said Vance. “It has been an extraordinary time, full of so many successes in our ministries and never before seen challenges in supporting our caregivers through unprecedented wildfires, in dealing with an unheard of pandemic, and in recognizing our deep and ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.”

Vance will now serve as president of operations and strategy for Providence ministries in Alaska, Washington, Montana and Oregon.

“Though I have served in different parts of Providence, my heart has always been in Oregon,” Vance said in a message to the Providence Oregon team. “I have laughed, I have cried, I have been in awe of you, and I have been humbled by your dedication, compassion and excellence.”
