ALOHA — Dave Andresen, 87, died Aug. 1. There was a funeral Mass at St. Cecilia Church in Beaverton, where he was a parishioner.

Mr. Andresen was born Sept. 23, 1932, to Albert and Frances (Rager) Andresen in Portland. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and was a lifelong supporter of Catholic education. He served in the Air Force in Japan during the Korean War. He met Nancy Sacchini at the Chancellor Club and they married July 19, 1958. Together they raised four children.

Mr. Andresen was a highly respected manager at Tektronix until his retirement. He was an active member of St. Cecilia parish and the Knights of Columbus. He shared his love for Notre Dame football with all of his grandchildren. His devotion toward his wife and their wonderful family was his greatest sense of pride. Mr. Andresen spent many hours tending to his abundant garden and beautiful flowers. He spent each year seeking the perfect JOE tomato. He was given the opportunity to participate in the Honor Flight for veterans to Washington, D.C. last September.

Mr. Andresen is survived by his sister, Jeanie Andresen; his wife; their children, Steve, Karen, Mark, and Kristi; and eight grandchildren Kevin Chalmers, Katie Chalmers, William Schlotfeldt, Aysa Andresen, Daniel Chalmers, Lucas Andresen, Philip Schlotfeldt and Gibsen Andresen.

Mr. Andresen was predeceased by his brother, Carl Andresen.
