TIGARD — Fliegle Martin Walters, 87, died Sept. 1. There will be a Celebration of Mr. Walters’ life online, hosted by Spirit of Grace in Beaverton, Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m.

Mr. Walters, an only child, was born in Los Angeles in 1932 to Lydia Francis Fliegle and Lawrence James Walters.

Mr. Walters was a 1955 mechanical engineering graduate of Loyola University in Los Angeles. He married Margaret Nester in 1955 and they enjoyed 65 years together. Mr. Walters worked in the aerospace, process and facilities design industries. The couple, together with their seven children, moved to Beaverton in 1969. Mr. Walters was a loyal and active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Aloha and, then, the Catholic/Lutheran Spirit of Grace community in Beaverton.

He is survived by his spouse, Marge, and their seven children: Mary Morasch, Kathi VanderZanden, Annie Danaher, Tali Walters, Cecilia Goodling, John Walters, Paul Walters, 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
