SUBLIMITY — Frances “Fran” Marie Hendricks, 88, died Dec. 6 in Stayton after spending a memorable day with her children. There was a rosary at St. Boniface Church in Sublimity and the Mass of Christian burial is noon, Tuesday, Dec. 15, at St. Boniface Cemetery.

She was born July 13, 1932, in Kingston, Oregon to Phillip and Anna Pietrok. She grew up in Lyons with her seven siblings. After high school she married Francis Hendricks Feb. 23, 1957, in Salem. They worked together on their family farm in Aumsville. Mrs. Hendricks was a faithful member of St. Boniface Parish as well as the Altar Society. As a member of the Oregon Women for Agriculture she received a prestigious award, the American Agri-Women Leaven Award, the organization's highest honor for members. Mrs. Hendricks’ hobbies included her love for gardening, canning, making Christmas candy, and the Trail Blazers and listening to the ballgames on the radio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Hendricks, her son Gilbert Hendricks and her sister Louise Pietrok.

Mrs. Hendricks is survived by her children: Gwen Mader of Aumsville, Brian Hendricks of Scio, Roger of Stayton, and Terrence of Aumsville; her brothers Clarence and Louis Pietrok; her sisters, Mary Lecher, Teresa Pietrok, Jean Schwarz and Helen Usselman; three grandchildren, Ryan and Richard Hendricks and Kelsie Van Dyne.
