Jeanne Pendergrass, 87, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2021.

She was born Nov. 28, 1933 to Dr. John H. and Agnes C. Labadie in Portland. She was baptized and raised in St. Thomas More parish, where her parents were founding members. She attended Ainsworth Grade School and Holy Child Academy, and graduated from Stanford University with a major in French.

She was a member of Multnomah Athletic Club, where she sang in the Mello-Macs for many years, as well as Wavery Country Club and the Town Club. She was a resident of Portland and later Manzanita, where she belonged to St. Peter the Fisherman parish. She and her husband Walter Pendergrass traveled extensively throughout the world, with Ireland being their favorite destination.

She is survived by her children, Douglas Lowell of Maupin, Jennifer Gallop of Reno, Nevada, and John Lowell of San Francisco; as well as three stepchildren and their spouses; a son and daughter-in-law; a grandson-in-law; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Pendergrass; and her daughter, Elizabeth Tobler.
