Michael Henry Haener was born in Portland, Oregon, Jan. 8, 1949, to Delbert and Madelene Haener, who both preceded him in death. He attended St. Luke Catholic grade school in Woodburn, Kennedy High School in Mount Angel, Mount Angel Col-lege and Portland Community College.

Mike married Linda in December of 1980. They raised their two children, Megan and Jake, on their Woodburn farm.

Mike was a strong determined man who loved his family. He was kind, generous, and fair to everyone he knew. He was the perfect picture of a farmer. Watching his crops grow and produce never ceased to thrill him. His work ethic was huge and never wavered until he was taken by Parkinson’s disease June 14, 2021.

He battled the disease for 30 years, never letting it stop him. Mike lived his life to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife Linda and his children, Megan and Jake (Michelle). Also surviving him are his brothers and sisters, Marie Louise, Delbert (Nannett), Rich (Sue), and Madelene DeCosta (Jim).

He was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Burnside (Chris).

In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all.

There was a viewing and recitation of the rosary at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn June 24. There was a funeral Mass June 25. Burial Service followed at Calvary Cemetery in Mount Angel. Donations may be made to Love INC., Woodburn.
