St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Forest Grove is hosting two upcoming blood drives. “The Red Cross is in desperate need right now,” said Parri Van Dyke, parish secretary.

The first drive will be Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the second Feb. 24 during the same time slot. Both blood drives will be held in the parish hall. Those who donate also can be tested for COVID-19 antibodies.

“I think this is such a great community outreach that the church can very easily do safely due to our large space here,” Van Dyke said.

To sign up, go to, click on “Give Blood,” then “Find a Drive.” Type in the zip code for the parish, 97116, to see open slots.
