The Knights of Columbus at Sacred Heart Parish in Gervais raised money to purchase an ultrasound machine with the help of matching funds from the Knights’ Supreme Council.

The machine has gone to Options Pregnancy Resource Center in Albany. At the council's July meeting, Karen Tameling, executive director of the pregnancy center, received the checks.

Tameling and her staff showed the Knights their mobile ultrasound clinic — an RV with the gear inside. The vehicle allows the center to serve rural areas in the central Willamette Valley, helping women see their unborn children and offering care and support.

In a Facebook post after the meeting, Tameling called the Knights “an amazing group of encouraging and enthusiastic people who deeply value life.”

The project was carried out by the Knights with the support of spouses, family and friends who work at fundraising events.
