MILWAUKIE — This fall, La Salle students produced a free online show featuring performances and artwork by La Salle students. The show aired Oct. 28 on YouTube. It was the first in a series of “Artist Aiding Artists” events designed to raise money for people in need by showcasing La Salle students’ artistic talent.

The group was launched this summer by juniors Brooklyn Chillemi, Emma Olson and Hannah Reddick. In a video introducing the project, the students said they wanted to stage the shows “to make a difference in our community.”

Donations raised as a result of the first benefit will go to p:ear (an acronym for project: education, art, recreation), a nonprofit that mentors homeless youths while helping them discover and nurture their talents.
