EUGENE — Angi Meyer, the physical education teacher at O’Hara School here, spent the summer at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, working on her master’s in educational leadership. The Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program of the University of Notre Dame prepares future leaders of Catholic schools “to lead with zeal,” according to the university’s website.

Over the course of three summers and two academic years, participants develop skills and knowledge to help create a “dynamic school culture by applying leadership principles,” states the website. They learn to cultivate a strong, intentional Catholic school culture, apply executive management skills to school operations and increase academic achievement.
