BANDON — Holy Trinity Parish here honored its graduates with a special Mass June 3. Despite COVID-19 restrictions, there was a joyful Mass with gifts for the graduates, all of whom fielded questions about their future plans and aspirations. Mass attendees liked the event. It “was perfect for the graduates. It showed love,” one student’s family said.

Jennifer and Elli Schulz gifted the graduates with flowers, a boutonniere for Eduardo and wrist corsages for the girls. Their kindness providing flowers added to the specialness of the recognition. “I just love the flowers in my corsage,” said Aubry Lynn Ramirez, who graduated from Winter Lakes High School in Coquille.

June Hinojosa, local coordinator for International Cultural Exchange Services, came to the Mass to show her support for the parish’s three foreign exchange students, two of whom are from Brazil and one of whom is from Italy.

After the Mass, families and graduates were invited to The Spoon restaurant in Langlois for a dinner hosted by parishioners Mike and Sharon Hennick.

The graduates included Josh Freitag, Oregon State University;  Allison Keay Hennick, Bandon High School; Natalie Kay Vincent, Pacific High School; Aubry Lynn Ramirez, Winter Lakes High School; and Angelica Marian Marie Ramirez, Oregon  State University. The foreign exchange students honored included Eduarda “Duda” Reolon, Brazil; Eduardo Medeiros, Brazil; and Nadina Tugui, Italy.
