EUGENE — O’Hara School here hosted its annual Socktober campaign Oct. 18 to 20. Students donated hundreds of new socks for the campaign, a collection of wardrobe essentials to be distributed by Catholic Community Services in Eugene. The campaign ran for less than a week, ending at the middle school volleyball season closeout game against Eugene’s St. Paul School. People brought socks in to gain admission to the game. By the night’s end, the donation bin was overflowing.

“O’Hara is always happy to assist our friends at Catholic Community Services in providing items of care to those in need,” said Megan Brewer, communications manager at the school. “Socktober is another example of how our faith unites us in serving our community.”
