George C. Hennessey, of this city, for 17 years superintendent of the chapel cars of the Catholic Church Extension society, will be invested

with knighthood in the Order of the Holy Sepulcher in St. Mary's Cathedral Thursday, January 15. Most Rev. Archbishop Christie will preside at the ceremony which takes place at 10 o'clock.

There will be general rejoicing among the Catholic people of Portland and many other northwestern communities at the honor which has come to Mr. Hennessey. Aside from his work with the Extension society he has given of his time and his talent as a singer and entertainer to scores of worthy causes. His generous good nature has won him a warm place in the hearts of all his acquaintances.
