More than 100 persons attended a forum on “The Christian Conscience and Discrimination in Housing” sponsored by lay apostolic groups of the archdiocese Feb. 12 at Stella Maris House.

As a result of the meeting, the sponsoring groups adopted a “Manifesto of Conscience” calling upon all Catholics “to pledge themselves to assist minority groups to exercise their rights in obtaining adequate housing and to make known their willingness to welcome into their neighborhood any resident, regardless of race, creed or national origin."
