TWO PRIESTS DIE FROM INFLUENZA

CONTRACT DISEASE WHILE MINISTERING TO NEEDS OF STRICKEN PARISHIONERS

The influenza claimed two Oregon priests in the past week, with the passing away of the Reverend Father F. J. Kettenhofen and the Reverend Father Thomas Naughton, both of whom contracted the disease while ministering to the needs of stricken parishioners.

Father Naughton, of Salem, died January 10th in St. Vincent's Hospital, to which he was removed immediately after he was stricken by the dread disease.

Father Kettenhofen died Wednesday, January 8th, at Beaverton, from the effects of influenza. Father Kettenhofen had been ill only five days, and up to the period of his affliction with the influenza, had enjoyed robust health.
