Regarding “Survivors grapple with economic and mental health wounds,” Sept. 17, Page 1, and “Endowment gets matching fund challenge,” Sept. 17, Page 2:

We learn about the sad plight of survivors of the Almeda Fire. Yet there is no mention of how or where to make a donation to help ease their suffering, even though these are our brothers and sisters, living in our own state, in distress due to no fault of their own.

Meanwhile, the entire second page features extensive donation information for the seminarian appeal. An essential cause, but not a desperate one.

Thank you for the great reporting, but the disparity really bothered me.
