I recently came across a gravesite for Father Francis Fierens at Mount Calvary cemetery and was saddened to see that the crucifix and one of the stairs had been vandalized.

I did an online search and find that he was mentioned in the origins story of the Catholic Sentinel.

I can’t shake the bothered feeling as I went home that his place of burial is left like that. I didn’t know who else to reach out to to see if maybe something can be done or if anyone can give me advice on what to do next. I prayed a Chaplet of Divine Mercy in front of it as it seemed forgotten.
