I am disturbed at the misinformation and lack of knowledge of some of my Catholic friends regarding the focus of church leaders. I for one, and there are thousands like me, are very pleased and thankful for our current leadership. If I do have a concern, it would be that they are too diplomatic.

Catholic social justice warriors miss the message of what Jesus commanded us to do: Go into all the world and preach the good news, repentance and salvation through Christ’s sacrificial death. We are in the business of saving souls, not providing temporary relief for the necessities of the body, as important as that is.

Mark 8:36 says this: “What profit is there for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?”

I believe in Catholic social teaching, but it is complementary to our salvation, not the priority.
