How are Christians to respond to repeated massacres of our citizens? St. John Paul II correctly talked about our culture of death of which guns are one facet. Jesus gave us his opinion about individuals taking up weapons — don’t.

It is incontrovertible that countries with more guns have more shootings. The U.S. has the most guns by far, hence, the most shootings. Would that we all followed Jesus’ advice, and spread the gospel of life. Limiting guns would lessen human carnage. Listening to how some people talk about their guns reminds me of idolatry.
