Trust in being able to understand the will of God for the role of government since the Lord has written the truth in our hearts. We need to reflect on the Lord’s writing, listening to the Lord in prayer and to his church. We also need a pure conscience for clear judgement or to be reconciled in the sacrament of penance. If we obey his commandments, the Lord will hopefully find us fitting. We, then, will understand the truth better. Others will understand better, too, as we become clearer images of the Lord in their sight. The Lord is living in his people, the truth shining for all to see, making us fit for his kingdom, for true peace, justice and liberty.
