Regarding “Rally for voting rights,” Aug. 6, Page 24:

For an honest election, the main request is identification. We need identification for many things: a driver’s license, traveling by plane, cashing checks, driving for Uber.

States should clean voter rolls of the dead or relocated.

There should be a set date for voting and it should be a holiday. Transportation should be provided. Absentee ballots should be applied for lawfully.

A big help would be eliminating computers. They are so easy to hack.

Official human counters should do their work with representatives from all parties watching. Counting should not be extended beyond a reasonable time and officials should not make accommodations at the last minute.
