November is Epilepsy Awareness Month. As a Catholic who has been an epileptic since age 8, I live with both the positives and negatives of having epilepsy, ranging from people believing in misconceptions about epilepsy to those who say that people with epilepsy are no different from anyone else.

Example of a positive: People who have epilepsy can have a normal life, such as having a job, living alone, and maybe finding someone to love despite the difficulties.

Example of a negative: Some say people who have epilepsy will never find a proper place in the world because of their condition.

I simply ask that all who read this pray for all who have any form of epilepsy and give thanks that Our Lord Jesus Christ treats such as equal in his eyes.
