My husband just passed from Alzheimer’s. One of my greatest comforts is that our priest had been visiting him often and taking him Communion. About an hour or so before he passed, the priest had been there, giving him last rites and anointing him. I know in my heart he knew and it allowed him to go. Please, to the lady who won't let her mother go up for Communion, let her go. Don't deny anyone the joy of their greatest desires please.
