Loretta Young hosted a series of half-hour dramas in the 1950s. She acted in many of them. The one I could not forget was when her character’s aborted daughter appears, asking her why she was aborted.

The daughter tells of her talents, and says she would have been a loving, caring daughter to her mother. They could have enjoyed each other’s company for many years, the daughter says, adding that she would have made her mother proud. The daughter explains she would have cared for her mother in old age.

I always wondered if that short movie saved some unborn babies’ lives.
