Regarding “Mass attendance restricted,” Nov. 20, Page 1:

For a time, Mass attendance in Oregon was limited to 25 by decree of the governor. Yet, one mile to the north across the Columbia River, up to 200 were permitted to attend Mass. There seemed to be no science to explain the difference. This, however, is certain: Powerful state government is restricting our religious freedom. Elected government officials often insist their policies are for the common good based on science. Obviously, science is ignored if it hinders their agenda. This science we know: Big, powerful governments infringe upon our religious rights.
