STAYTON — Since the official merger of Regis High School and St. Mary School in July, the Regis St. Mary School board of directors and administration have worked to help the school community feel comfortable embracing the new name and everything it represents for students, educational quality, school leadership and financial stability. The school’s goals are now reflected in its new mission statement: “Regis St. Mary Catholic School develops disciples of Christ who learn, lead and serve.”

Regis St. Mary also developed a brand-identity system and an academic logo, which embraces both the navy blue and forest green from the previous school colors. Three new logos were created by two graphic designers. The logos were voted on by the school and greater community via an online survey. The process was completed under the guidance of Carla Shryock from Shryock Associates in Salem and the Regis St. Mary brand identity committee. “Regis St. Mary is excited to have a unified logo that represents both campuses as one school,” said school leaders in a press release.

The 2018 Regis St. Mary Auction in the spring will be the first big fundraiser as one school.

“We look forward to celebrating our first Catholic Schools Week as Regis St. Mary Catholic School,” said school leaders, “and continuing to build relationships in the community and with each other as we serve our pre-K-12 students in the mid-Willamette Valley.”
