FOREST GROVE — Rogelio Rodriguez Leon, 28, a member of St. Alexander Parish in Cornelius, died March 1 at the Oregon Health Sciences University Medical Center in Portland. There was a funeral Mass at St. Alexander Church. Father David Schiferl was celebrant.

Mr. Rodriguez was born April 5, 1991 in Alvaro Obregon, Michoacán, Mexico, the son of Rogelio Rodriguez Ruiz and Laura Leon. He was raised and received his early education in the Colonia Francisco Villa, in Michoacán. At the age of 14 he moved with his family to Oregon, settling in Forest Grove, where he graduated from Forest Grove High School in 2009. He then attended Portland Community College, majoring in diesel technology.

He worked as a tow truck driver for Castores Towing located in Hillsboro.

He enjoyed making people laugh, helping everyone who needed his help, traveling, fixing cars, and driving his tow truck around the Portland area.

Survivors include parents, Rogelio Rodriguez Ruiz and Laura Leon, of Forest Grove, Oregon; his sisters, Jacqueline Rodriguez Leon and Jazmine Rodriguez Leon, both of Forest Grove; his brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Mariel Rodriguez, of Hillsboro, Oregon and his grandparents, Pedro and Amparo Leon, of Long Beach, California.

He was buried at the Forest Grove Cemetery.

Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home in Forest Grove was entrusted with the arrangements.
