Regarding “Mass changes Suggested for Health,” March 6, Page 1:

The biggest threat are the pews, as the virus can survive up to 48 hours on a hard surface. I suggest that each pew be provided with 10% bleach wipes so parishioners can wipe down the pews where their hands rest, and that parishes provide a trash can at the exits; people being who they are, some will no doubt leave them behind when they exit the church. But the greet-ers check the pews after Mass so they can collect the ones left behind.
