I am aghast that the federal government has recently re-initiated the death penalty, executing several people. Pope Francis adamantly condemns capital punishment as does the Catechism of the Catholic Church. When we were children the nuns taught us to read, pray, vote and protect all life. There are many issues and many ways to protect life.
