Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant Christians are uniting in prayer today for the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization court case.

This is the Mississippi case that could overturn Roe v. Wade — the Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal in all 50 states.

The nationwide online event is set for 5 p.m. Pacific today. Registration is required at

“Together, we will pray for a just outcome that protects millions of preborn babies and their mothers,” organizers said.

The Mississippi law at stake in the case bans abortion after 15 weeks. The question before the Supreme Court is whether all pre-viability bans on elective abortions are unconstitutional.

Though the numbers have dropped in the past few decades, there are about 600,000 abortions per year in the United States.
